2022 Cirrus SR22T GTS G6

N162JB is a 2022 Cirrus SR-22T “GTS” edition, spec’d in the optional $34,900 Carbon Appearance design package and finished in a striking mix of “Evolution” red and “Sterling” silver metallic paints.  As Cirrus’s flagship 22T, this pressurized aircraft came factory equipped with a big bore Continental TSIO-550-K powerplant and a lofty 25k ft service ceiling.  2JB is a “kitchen sink” build, featuring the top-spec “GTS” option which bundles Cirrus’s Executive, Awareness, Advantage, FIKI, and Appearance packages along with special GTS badging.  This aircraft is low time with only 415 hrs logged and is being sold by its owner with a fresh annual from Cirrus Knoxville.

2JB’s 9L twin turbocharged, twin intercooled Teledyne Continental TSIO-550-K engine produces 315hp at just 2500 rpm, making it notably quieter at speed.  As a “K” variant, it was uniquely designed by Conti with slightly lower compression (7:5:1) than previous versions to make it happy sipping on unleaded avgas; futureproofing the engine should unleaded become the way.  As an added perk, the 550k has a +200hr factory extended TBO recommendation, placing it 2200hrs.  2JB’s prop is a 4-bladed Hartzell with carbon fiber construction and nickel leading-edge protectant, a $21,900 option.

2JB’s airframe features Cirrus’s famous butterfly doors, a 93-gallon fuel tank, the 6th generation’s improved Spectra wingtip lighting and illuminated step systems, and of course the CAPS parachute system, with a repack not due until 2032.  As a 2022, 2JB benefits from fresh aerodynamic updates introduced this model year by the efficiency gurus in Duluth, including sleeker wing and tail surface and redesigned wheel fairings that yield an “up to 9kt” (17km/h) boost to top cruise speeds over prior model years- without a fuel penalty.  In preparation for sale, the owner has had a paint correction performed and 9yr ceramic coating applied.  *ADD FIKI

Since 2017, Cirrus has installed 5-seats in the SR-22T, and 2JB’s are finished in a two-tone “Lunar Grey” premium leather as a component of the optioned Carbon package.  This package extends up to the instrument panel, where it uniquely applies jet black vents and real carbon fiber instrument panel lobes, making for a less busy dash by comparison to either the standard or optional Platinum appearance packages.  This aircraft is also fitted with Cirrus’s factory air conditioning ($29,900) to keep passengers comfortable on the ground or in the air.

2JB’s avionics package features Garmin’s Perspective+ integrated avionics suite with upgraded 12” flight and mission display screens (over standard 10”) thanks to the $34,900 Cirrus Advantage package, which integrates Jeppesen ChartView, allowing for georeferenced visual navigation using the latest published electronic charts.  2JB’s Cirrus Awareness package completes the picture by adding to the ADS-B traffic a 360-degree zone of detection and awareness.  Also equipped is Cirrus IQ, the mobile pilot intelligence-hub; new for 22’ allowed tracking of inspection intervals, warranty expiration, and My Trips- which simplifies logbook accounting by creating a digital log of all previous trips.

N162JB represents one of the most comprehensively equipped SR-22T aircraft available, combining high-altitude capability, all-weather certification, and modern safety features in a luxuriously appointed package. With its extended-range fuel system and efficient turbocharged powerplant, this aircraft excels in both cross-country missions and high-altitude operations, routinely delivering 180+ KTAS cruise speeds while maintaining access to airports above 10,000 feet MSL. The combination of FIKI certification, CAPS, and advanced avionics makes this an ideal platform for both personal and business transportation, offering true year-round utility with the performance and comfort expected of a modern high-performance aircraft. The low total time and factory-fresh maintenance status ensure years of trouble-free service for its next owner.

Is the 5th seat usable by anyone other than a toddler?

Depends on the size of your toddler ;) It's a small, but usable seat for kids, and even adults for short trips up to 2hrs.
